Song of the week #36
Undoubtedly my favourite song on Halsey's debut record, Badlands, Roman Holiday is extremely unique in that it feels utterly euphoric. When I listen to it I feel like I'm in a dream, and driving along with the windows open on a summer's day, with everything occurring in slow motion.
This song has such a cool vibe to it, as does the whole album; it's very different to anything I've heard before, and that's what's most interesting about it. I love the calming feel this song has to it, which makes it incredibly relaxing. The beat of the song is subtle but definitely there, and I really like that; it adds nicely to the sense of serenity.
It's the sort of song you need to listen to intently, but it would still make perfect background music.
What's your favourite song from Badlands?
Until next time.
